Liberty Junk Removal does yard debris removal around Johnstown and the rest of Northern Colorado. It's the cleanup after the cleanup. The trimming is done and the rake is back in the garage. What's left is a heap of limbs against the back fence and a row of stuffed leaf bags by the driveway. Text a photo to (970) 634-6969, and the branches can stay right where they were cut. Homeowners tend to call once the pruning wraps up and the pile starts eating the side yard. Landlords call to tidy a rental's yard before it gets shown.

Everything on this job is already loose on the ground. If something still has to be torn out first, like a rotted deck or a fence leaning into the neighbor's yard, that's deck and fence demolition instead. And when the brush is tangled up with drywall scraps from a remodel, debris removal is the better fit. A pile that's all green waste and yard clutter belongs here. The other kinds of Johnstown debris removal jobs are on that page.

What goes on the truck

  • Cut limbs and branches
  • Brush from cleared beds
  • Bagged leaves and clippings
  • Shrubs pulled by the roots
  • Dead plants and old pots
  • Broken trellises
  • Old landscape timbers
  • Tomato cages and scrap metal

These are the usual pieces on this kind of job, not the whole list.

From the full list of what goes on the truck: construction, remodel and yard debris.

What usually ends up in a yard debris pile?

Cut limbs and brush are the biggest part of it, followed by bags of leaves and grass clippings and shrubs that came out roots and all. Branches the wind snapped off end up on the same heap. A real yard cleanup also turns up the things that have been sitting behind the shed for a few seasons, like a broken trellis or a stack of old landscape timbers. The yard and remodel debris list shows more of what fits.

The truck that comes for it is a pickup with a 6x12 open trailer or a 7x14 dump trailer, with the Liberty Junk Removal logo on the truck doors. A few bags squeezed into the trash cart each week can't keep up with a fall of leaves, and long, scratchy limbs won't fit in the back seat of a car anyway. For limbs you can haul yourself, a few towns run branch drop-offs, and the clean-up days guide lists them by town.

Can garden chemicals go out with the yard waste?

The half-empty jugs of weed killer and bug spray on the potting bench are chemicals, so ask first and expect an extra fee. Paint can go too, and in a yard cleanup that means the old cans on the shed shelf, with empty cans preferred and an extra fee on full ones. Gas and diesel for the mower stay behind. Anything medical or biohazard is off the table too, wherever it turns up in the yard.

Pull any fuel and chemical jugs out of the pile before pickup day and set them on the porch or in the garage, away from the brush. A jug buried under the leaf bags still has to be fished out before those bags can be loaded. If you can't tell whether something counts, put it in the photo and ask in the same text, so you have an answer before the truck shows up.

How much does it cost to haul away a yard debris pile?

Yard loads start at $125. Above the minimum, what you pay follows the space the pile fills on the truck, and yard waste is a good case for pricing it that way. A heap of limbs is mostly air between the branches, so the room it takes up says more than what it weighs. Loading and hauling are in that price, and so is disposal, so there's no dump fee added on later.

For the photo, back up until the whole pile fits in one frame. A fence post or a parked car in the shot helps show the size.

Do I have to drag the brush pile to the curb?

No. Leave the pile by the back fence or behind the garage, wherever the yard work ended, and the carrying starts from that spot. Every limb and bag gets loaded by Liberty Junk Removal. Nobody will ask you to grab an armful of branches or line the bags up at the street. A few steps down from a raised patio, or a slope up to the back corner of the lot, just means more carrying, and they take care of that part too.

Backyards come with their own snags. A side gate with a padlock or a narrow strip between two houses is worth a line in your text, so it doesn't slow anything down on the day. The one-hour arrival window and the ETA they send help if the gate has to be unlocked or the dog brought inside first.

Where does yard waste go after it's hauled away?

What can't be donated or recycled goes to the landfill, and in a yard load that's usually most of the pile. Before that, anything usable is picked out for donation. A patio chair that still holds weight or a garden bench in decent shape is worth more at Habitat for Humanity or a thrift store than buried in a landfill.

Clearing brush tends to uncover metal, too. Old tomato cages and a rusted wheelbarrow with a flat tire can both be hiding under an overgrown hedge. That scrap metal gets recycled. If there's something in the pile you'd hate to see thrown out, flag it when you send the picture.

Does Liberty Junk Removal pick up yard debris outside Johnstown?

Yes. Johnstown, in Weld County, is where they're based, and brush and leaf bags come out of Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland, Windsor and Severance too. One of the owner's own jobs was a yard debris cleanup in Milliken. Every other town they cover is on the Northern Colorado service area list.

How the price works

Text a photo of what needs to go to (970) 634-6969. Liberty Junk Removal looks at how much room it takes on the truck and texts back a quote for the whole job. The quote holds unless the job turns out bigger than the photo showed. No hourly rate. Jobs start at $125. Read the junk removal cost guide.

Where Liberty Junk Removal does this

All of the Northern Colorado area. In Berthoud, the Town does not pick up tree limbs from private property. For the fall leaf collection in Longmont, leaves must be bagged and loose piles are not picked up. See every town Liberty Junk Removal covers for yard debris removal.
