Liberty Junk Removal does debris removal in Johnstown and towns all over Northern Colorado. This is the pile that's a little of everything. Drywall scraps sit next to branches and brush from the fence line, because the bathroom and the yard both got done the same month. It all goes out together.

It might be a few bags by the garage or a stack that fills half the driveway. A photo is enough to price it, and nobody at the property has to lift anything. Text a photo to (970) 634-6969 once the work wraps up, or partway through, when the pile is already in the way of the next step. Construction and yard piles that don't mix have their own pages, and all three sit under debris removal service.

What goes on the truck

  • Drywall scraps and offcuts
  • Old cabinets and vanities
  • Broken tile and old paneling
  • Lumber and trim scraps
  • Branches, brush and clippings
  • Broken fence boards
  • Scrap metal like old gutters
  • Bagged trash from the job

These are the usual pieces on this kind of job, not the whole list.

From the full list of what goes on the truck: construction, remodel and yard debris.

What counts as debris instead of regular junk?

Debris is what's left after work on a house or a yard, and it's usually broken up and mixed together. Think drywall offcuts, a vanity pulled out of the bathroom, or a heap of brush behind the shed. A couch or a washer leaves the house in one piece. Debris comes out in chunks and scraps, so it's loaded as one mixed pile instead of item by item.

When the whole pile came from one kind of project, a narrower service fits better. Construction debris removal is for the leftovers from a build or a remodel, and yard debris removal is for what the yard gave up. Debris removal is for the pile that crosses the line between the two.

Where does the debris go once it leaves the property?

Pieces with use left in them go to donation first, to Habitat for Humanity or a thrift store. On a remodel that might be a set of cabinets that came out in one piece, or a box of tile nobody got around to laying. Old gutters and metal fence posts count as scrap metal, which gets recycled.

How a load splits depends on what's in it. Crumbled plaster and torn insulation mostly end up at the landfill, while a kitchen tear-out with solid cabinets has more to give away. Liberty Junk Removal makes every drop-off, so the donation run and the landfill run are part of the job.

Will a debris hauler take leftover paint from a remodel?

Yes. Leftover paint can go, with empty cans preferred and an extra fee on full ones. Remodels and yard work both leave some around, like half-used cans from the bedroom walls. A jug of weed killer on the garage shelf is a chemical, so ask first. Gas, diesel and medical or biohazard waste are off the list. Other hazardous items can ride along for an extra fee, but only if you ask ahead.

Show the paint cans in the photo, and keep any gas can out of the shot. The quote is set from that picture, so the pile in it should be the pile that gets loaded. If a container in the heap is a mystery, mention it in your text and ask before pickup day.

How much does it cost to haul away a pile of debris?

A debris job starts at the $125 minimum. Above that, the price is worked out from the space the debris takes on the truck. Loading and hauling are part of it, and so is disposal, so dump fees never turn up as a separate charge. The quote comes from a photo or from an in-person look.

For the photo, stand back until the whole heap fits in the frame, edges and all. If part of the pile is around the side of the house or down in the basement, send a second shot of that part. A pile split between the driveway and the backyard still gets priced as a single job.

Do I have to drag the debris to the curb before pickup?

No. The debris can stay behind the fence gate or down in the basement where the old drywall came out. Basement stairs and a long walk back from the shed are part of the job, and you don't need to help load. Point out the pile and leave the carrying to Liberty Junk Removal.

A property manager clearing debris out of a unit gets the same carry-out as a homeowner. If the pile is behind a locked gate or in a unit with a lockbox, say so when you book, so nobody is stuck waiting outside on pickup day.

How soon can a debris pile be picked up around Johnstown?

The haul is usually the next day, or same day when the schedule allows. Liberty Junk Removal is based in Johnstown, in Weld County, and takes jobs from 7 AM to 6 PM every day. You get a one-hour arrival window and an ETA, so you know when to be home, or when to meet the truck with the key to the unit.

The work reaches well past Johnstown, out to Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland, Windsor and Milliken, among others. If your town isn't named here, check the town-by-town list of where Liberty Junk Removal works.

Questions

Questions about debris removal.

What's the minimum charge for debris removal?
$125 is the minimum for a debris pickup. A bigger pile costs more, based on how much of the truck it fills.
Are dump fees added on top of the debris removal price?
No. Disposal is already in the quote, so nothing for the landfill gets added after the job.
Can Liberty Junk Removal haul debris out of a backyard or basement?
Yes. A pile in the backyard or down the basement stairs gets carried out to the truck, so you don't have to move anything to the curb first.
Can a bigger company be invoiced for a debris job?
Yes. Bigger companies can be billed by invoice for debris work. Any customer can also pay with Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, a check or a credit or debit card.
Do usable building materials get donated?
Yes, as long as they're in good shape. Unused material and cabinets that came out whole get dropped at Habitat for Humanity or a thrift store, and only the real trash goes to the landfill.
Can debris be picked up on a weekend?
Yes. Saturday and Sunday are regular working days, so a pile from a weekend project can be booked like any other.
