Liberty Junk Removal does boat removal in Johnstown and across Northern Colorado. It's for the boat you don't want anymore. Text a photo to (970) 634-6969. You can also call first and send the photo afterward. Most services deal with a pile or a room full of stuff. A boat is one item, and it is a big one, so the size of the boat sets the job.

Calls and texts both get a reply. Either way, the photo is what the quote is built from, so take a good one. The quote itself is free. Stand a few steps back so the whole boat is in the shot, and send a second one from the other side if you can. Daylight helps.

What goes on the truck

  • A boat you don't want anymore
  • Scrap metal from the same job
  • Other junk going on the same trip

These are the usual pieces on this kind of job, not the whole list.

The full list of what goes on the truck, and what doesn't.

Can a junk removal company haul away a boat?

Yes. A boat books the way every other job books, with a photo and a text.

A garage cleanout or a basement cleanout means sizing up a room of things. A boat is the other kind of job. The strangest thing Liberty Junk Removal has hauled is a piano, so a big item on its own is nothing new to them.

You can send the text if the boat is yours or if you're handling it for someone else. If the boat is one part of a bigger job, like an estate cleanout or house and garage cleanouts, the rest can go in the same quote. A storage unit cleanout or an eviction and rental property cleanout with a boat in the mix is quoted that way too.

Where does the boat go after it's loaded?

Where the load ends up follows an order. Donation gets the first shot, through Habitat for Humanity and thrift stores. Scrap metal gets recycled, and the scrap metal removal page covers that side of the work. Whatever is left over after that, the part nobody can donate or recycle, ends up at the Larimer County landfill. The same order holds for anything else on the truck with the boat.

You won't get a separate bill for the dump. Disposal of the boat is part of the quote.

If the boat has electronics aboard, those go out as e-waste.

What happens between the text and the boat leaving?

You text the photo of the boat, and Liberty Junk Removal replies. The quote is given in person, or as best it can be from a photo. Once you say yes, the job is booked, and they keep you informed until they arrive. They'll be kind and courteous, and the job you want done gets finished.

You don't have to help load the truck, boat or not.

When the boat is gone, they tell you the job is finished and make sure both sides are squared away.

What decides the price when a boat goes on the truck?

How much room the boat takes on the truck sets the price. Room is counted by the trailer. About a quarter of the trailer is $125, the minimum. About half is $350. A full trailer is $650, and more than that fills the truck bed too. The quote is for the whole job and comes from your photo. Loading and hauling are inside the quote as well.

The quote holds as long as the job isn't bigger than the photo showed. That's their rule, and it's the reason to send a clear photo and to mention anything else going on the truck. Bigger jobs can get a quote in person.

Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay and Google Pay work, as do credit or debit cards, cash and checks. Larger companies can be invoiced. Every job prices by room on the truck, and the pricing guide reads the same way for a couch or a cleanout.

What won't go on the truck with a boat?

Gas, diesel and medical or biohazard waste are on the won't-take list. On a boat, that makes any fuel cans, lockers and storage spots worth a quick look before pickup.

Other hazardous material is a different case. It costs extra to take, and you have to ask first. No amount is listed on this page, so ask about the fee when you text.

If you're unsure whether something in or on the boat counts, check what goes on the truck or mention it with the photo. A quick note in the text beats finding out at pickup, and it keeps the quote matching the job.

Which Northern Colorado towns can get a boat picked up?

Boat removal covers Johnstown and the whole Northern Colorado area. A boat in any town on the list of towns served is booked and quoted the same way, with a photo sent by text.

Say which town the boat is in when you text the photo.
